Harken, Ye who would hear!

To the Clan of Kerr, those of birth or through marriage and all others who may harken,

I’m excited to introduce our new family website! It is my hope that this platform will be a central hub where we can share blog posts, upload photos and videos, and stay connected through important updates and special moments—no matter where life takes us.

My Dad used to say his goal was for his children to stand upon his shoulders. By this, I believe he meant that he wanted us to begin our journeys from where it took him a lifetime to reach. I echo my Dad’s goal and wish no less than that you should stand on my shoulders, having had the benefit of beginning on the shoulders of Grandma and Grandpap.

While there are certainly things we must discover through personal experiences, many valuable lessons don’t need to be learned solely through and at the slow pace of experience alone. Having always “to figure it out for yourself..” is not always the best option. Often, we can accelerate our learning by drawing from credible and trustworthy sources.

Determining who is credible and whom we can truly trust is indeed a challenge. The cornerstone and bedrock of our trust must always be the Word of God. Although we may learn truths even from those who deny God, due to the general revelation available to all, we must cautiously evaluate such information through a biblical worldview.

One primary goal for this site is to share important bits of knowledge  that have taken me a lifetime to learn and also things that I have had to unlearn upon discovery as errant. My hope is that you would use this knowledge for insight in living a better future for you and your families.

Another goal, if to effect this transfer of knowledge.  Effective communication involves three essential questions:

  1. What do I know?
  2. Who else needs to know it?
  3. Did I tell them?

This website is intended to simplify and facilitate this communication process.

I envision this platform not only as a repository of past knowledge but also as a real-time resource for exchanging important information and collaboratively preparing for our future. My hope is that it encourages all of us to actively contribute to the success, happiness, and Christian spiritual growth of the entire Kerr Clan.

Please feel free to contribute your own posts, upload media, leave comments, or simply check in regularly. Whether celebrating birthdays, holidays, personal achievements, or everyday joys, this website will be our special place to connect and support one another.

I look forward to everyone’s contributions. Here’s to staying closer than ever!

With all my love,

Lee E. Kerr
