A Letter to My Wife, Daughters and Granddaughters,

A Declaration of Your God-Given Dignity and Design

Dear Beloved Wife, Daughters, and Granddaughters,

In the beginning,

“God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
(Genesis 1:27)

From the very first act of creation, God made humanity in His own image — fully dignified, fully honored. He created man as male and female — equal in essence, distinct in role, each reflecting His glory in their own unique way.

Then, in a moment full of beauty and divine tenderness,

“The LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living soul.”
(Genesis 2:7)

In that sacred act, Adam was formed:

  • Body — shaped from the dust of the earth.
  • Spirit — animated by the very breath of God.
  • Soul — emerging from the union of body and spirit into a living, conscious being.

Thus, humanity was not pieced together, but perfectly united — physical, spiritual, personal — and wholly alive by the will and breath of God.

Man and Woman: United in Essence, Distinct in Expression

Yet, God’s creative work was not complete. It was not good for the man to be alone. And so, the Scriptures tell us:

“So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man He made into a woman and brought her to the man.”
(Genesis 2:21–22)

From Adam’s side — not from his head to rule over him, nor from his feet to be trampled under him, but from his side, near his heart — God fashioned the woman.

When Adam beheld her, he declared:

“This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.”
(Genesis 2:23)

In Hebrew thought, “bones” symbolized the very core, strength, and essence of life — not merely the physical skeleton, but the deepest foundation of a person’s being. “Flesh” referred to shared substance and relational closeness.

Thus, Adam was proclaiming:

  • That Eve was not merely similar, but of his very essence.
  • That they shared the same life, the same dignity, the same breath of God.

You were made female not by accident, but by divine purpose — intentionally, wonderfully, and wisely crafted by the Creator of heaven and earth. You bear His image fully. You share His life truly.

Separation for the Purpose of Love and Union

In forming Eve, God did not divide Adam’s soul or spirit. Adam remained a complete living soul, and Eve was individually and wonderfully given her own body, soul, and spirit by God.

The “separation” was physical and relational — a creation of two distinct persons — for the purpose of a deeper, richer unity in love.

Thus, male and female together fully express the relational, covenantal beauty of God’s own nature:

  • Equal in value.
  • Distinct in role.
  • United in love.

The Fall: Headship and Responsibility

Sin entered the world tragically:

  • Eve, deceived by the serpent, ate first.
  • Adam, knowingly disobeying, followed.

Though Eve sinned through deception, Scripture teaches that sin entered the world through Adam — because God had appointed Adam as the covenant head of humanity (Romans 5:12).

Both man and woman fell. Yet Adam’s disobedience carried the covenantal weight that brought death to the human race.

Woman’s Vital Role in Redemption

Yet in God’s magnificent plan of redemption, woman was given a central and glorious role:

  • It was through a woman, Mary, that the Messiah — Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world — was born, fulfilling the ancient promise.
  • It was women who ministered faithfully to Jesus throughout His earthly life and stood by Him even when others fled.
  • It was women who witnessed the agony of the Cross, remaining near in love and loyalty.
  • It was a woman — Mary Magdalene — to whom the risen Christ first appeared, entrusting her with the first proclamation of His resurrection.

Though woman was first deceived, it was woman whom Christ honored first in His triumph over death. What Satan meant for destruction, God, in His grace, turned into glory.

The Beauty of Your Calling

Today, in Christ, you are not called to erase your womanhood but to embrace it — glorifying God fully in the distinct, powerful, beautiful way He designed you.

  • You are not defined by the brokenness of this world.
  • You are not confined by shallow human standards.
  • You are not diminished by difference in role.
  • You are elevated by the dignity of God’s creation and the calling of His redemption.

You are:

  • Fearfully and wonderfully made.
  • Crowned with the image of your Maker.
  • Breathed into by the Spirit of Life.
  • Entrusted with gifts, wisdom, beauty, and strength designed for His glory.

In a world confused about identity, worth, and calling, I want you to hear clearly — without hesitation or distortion:

You are loved. You are valued. You are created with divine purpose. You are made female by God’s own design, equal in essence to man, distinct in role, and infinitely precious in the eyes of your Father in Heaven.

Walk in this truth with confidence. Embrace your womanhood with joy. Fulfill your calling with strength, humility, and grace.

You were made for such a time as this.

“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.”
(Proverbs 31:30)

And so, you are praised.

With all my love,

Husband, Daddy, Grandfather, oh ok sometimes Jaja
